BMW ConnectedRide Smartglasses are smart connected glasses. They allow you to increase your comfort and safety on a motorcycle by displaying useful data for your driving directly in your field of vision.

Connected glasses: a technological innovation from BMW ConnectedRide

ConnectedRide Smartglasses revolutionizes the transmission of data from the motorcycle to the rider thanks to a head-up display similar to that found on automobiles. Gathering useful information in your direct field of vision, you no longer need to lower your eyes or your head to check the data displayed on the motorcycle, or on the GPS.

Simply connected to your smartphone and motorcycle via the BMW Motorrad Connected app via Bluetooth, the data is transmitted in real time either instantly from the motorcycle and/or from the GPS to your goggles, there is no delay. Among the information projected are:

• The current speed of the motorcycle
• Speed ​​limit
• The speed of the motorcycle engaged
• GPS indications, with two possibilities: reduced arrow display or detailed display with street names, intersections and precise directions.

The display is present on the left part of the right lens only and can be activated or deactivated at any time, by pressing the left arm or via the application.

The projection can be adjusted for optimal comfort. Connected to the motorcycle, adjustments can be made easily before and during riding for motorcycles equipped with multi-controller.

Rechargeable by cable, the glasses offer up to 10 hours of battery life. The loading interface is present on the left branch.

ConnectedRide Smartglasses: BMW comfort in a pair of glasses

With their design adapted to motorcyclists and their needs, the ConnectedRide Smartglasses glasses offer great comfort adapted to use on the motorcycle. They can also be used as classic sunglasses, simply by turning off the smart display. With the fine and sporty shape of the frame, the glasses adapt to the majority of helmets and to all face shapes, they are unisex.

For a perfect adaptation to your face, 2 sizes are available, with 4 nose pads included. Select your size according to your pupillary distance:

• Size M: for a pupillary distance of 53 to 67 mm
• Size L: for a pupillary distance of 59 to 73 mm

This adaptation guarantees you a high level of comfort, even during long journeys, while maintaining lightness and perfect balance. The user interface can also be customized for a tailor-made display.

The sets of lenses included with the frame make the connected glasses versatile and suitable for all daily lives:

• 1 set of UVA/UVB certified tinted lenses: fully tinted, like classic sunglasses;
• 1 set of 85% transparent lenses: suitable for helmets with a solar or tinted visor, for night driving, as well as for different weather conditions.

Adapted to your daily life and guaranteeing improved driving comfort, the glasses can be adapted to your eyesight.

ConnectedRide Smartglasses connected glasses: additional security

By reducing distractions and screens, ConnectedRide Smartglasses centralize important information and deliver it directly to your field of vision, having a huge impact on improving your safety.

The anticipation allowed by the glasses makes your driving safer. Especially with the GPS, where there is no more hesitation as to the path to take.

The display does not block the view or hide the road, you do not miss anything during your driving.

Suitable for all weather conditions with the different sets of lenses provided, the goggles can operate over a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C. In the event of a sudden change in brightness, such as when entering a tunnel for example, the integrated light sensor and optical module guarantee a safe display and adjust the brightness so as not to be dazzled.

A considerable advantage is in particular the compatibility with optical correction: the lenses can be corrected and adjusted to the desired visual acuity (up to 4 diopters) thanks to an RX adapter, directly at your optician. You can order lenses and have them mounted on the frame, directly from your optician.
